Purpose
Ghost Jobs Index exists for one purpose: to allow job seekers to anonymously report and document deceptive hiring practices by companies and recruiters. This includes ghost jobs, fake job postings, interview ghosting, data harvesting, and related hiring malpractice. By using this platform you agree to these terms.
Acceptable Use
You may use Ghost Jobs Index to:
- Submit truthful complaints about companies' hiring practices
- Report ghost jobs, fake postings, interview ghosting, and recruitment fraud
- Vote on existing complaints to help surface credible reports
- Browse the complaints directory to research companies before applying
Prohibited Content
The following content is strictly prohibited and will be removed without notice:
- Self-promotion, advertising, or marketing of any kind
- Links to personal websites, social media profiles, portfolios, or services
- Adult, sexually explicit, or pornographic content
- Content related to illegal drugs, controlled substances, or drug paraphernalia
- Hate speech, discrimination, or threats targeting individuals or groups
- Content unrelated to hiring practices or job seeking experiences
- Spam, repetitive submissions, or automated content
- Personal information of individuals (names, phone numbers, email addresses, home addresses)
- Knowingly false or fabricated complaints intended to defame a company
- Content that incites violence or illegal activity
- Malware, phishing links, or any form of malicious content
Complaint Guidelines
- Complaints must be about real experiences with real companies
- Provide accurate job posting URLs from recognized job boards
- Describe the hiring issue factually — avoid personal attacks on individuals
- One complaint per job posting per network to prevent duplicates
Voting
Votes help surface credible complaints. Vote manipulation, including using VPNs or proxies to cast multiple votes, is prohibited. Each network is limited to one vote per complaint.
Content Moderation
We reserve the right to review, edit, or remove any complaint or vote at our sole discretion. We may also restrict access to users or networks that violate these terms. Complaints that violate these terms will be removed without explanation.
No Guarantees
Ghost Jobs Index is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any complaint. Complaints reflect the experiences of anonymous users and may not represent the full picture of a company's hiring practices. Use the information at your own discretion.
Liability
Ghost Jobs Index is not responsible for any decisions made based on complaint data. We are not liable for damages arising from use of this platform or reliance on user-submitted content.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms at any time. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
