Ghosted

The recruiter initially reached out to me after I applied for the position. After asking a few preliminary questions, she said she would submit my information to the hiring authority and would definitely follow up. About 2–3 months later, she did follow up and informed me they wanted to bring me in for an interview, which I completed about a week later. After the interview, I sent a thank-you email expressing my appreciation and letting them know I was looking forward to the opportunity. I received no response, so about a week later, I sent a follow-up email, again, no response. Ultimately, I was completely ghosted throughout the process, despite my attempts to follow up. I only discovered my application had been quietly declined after checking the status in their system, as no one ever bothered to communicate an update.
